Security Bench

Benches with wood seating and subtle features included to give passive defenses to buildings and restricted areas without compromising the integrity of the surrounding landscape and architectiure.

The degree of function may be varied from a simple 200lb bench to a weight of nearly 2000 lbs reinforced with heavy guage angle iron and bulllet resistant screening while retaining the innocous look of a well designed, attractive bench.

Security benches are currently being offered in two basic designs, both of which may be customized to architects’ specifications.

The Granite

Solid stone ends and a solid or “sandwiched” transverse section with bullet resistant screen under the seating area. The transverse section may include, reinforced concrete, bullet resistant screening, kevlar or other specified materials.

The Screen

Bullet resistant screening formed to make a bench base which may be shipped knocked down and assembled on site with little effort. The base is then filled with locally available materials to add weight, texture and/or color. The seating area is shipped assembled and readily attached to the base with 4 bolts.
