Stone

Granite was chosen as the hallmark for its hardness, durability, diversity, and endurance through the ages. Natural characteristics and the spectrum of coloration available make each piece distinctive. With granite coming from different regions of the world, Granite supports are carefully cut and finished to exacting specifications with sawn, flamed, or polished faces. They are then sealed with a highly penetrating, clear, siloxane based water proofing which protects the surfaces from the elements, while resisting mildew, and graffiti penetration.

Granite is ideally suited to high use areas as it retains its beauty with little or no maintentance in even the most extreme environmental conditions.

Marble, Brownstone, Bluestone or other may be specified. Colors ranging from statuary white to almost pure black with a wide spectrum of colors and patterns of colors in between are commercially available.

Wood Seating

The wood is chosen for its inherent character, strength, durability and assurance of environmental integrity or as designated by the architect.

Seating, customarily made of either kiln dried Malaysian Mahogany (Shorea Spp) or Agathis (Agathis Borneensis), is finely machined and cut to precision tolerances, each piece of wood is hand sanded and finished. Seating may be specified to compliment the architect’s vision or aesthetics of the surrounding environment.

Seating is sealed with Penofin, a natural outdoor finish made of Brazil Nut oils with added ultraviolet protection to yield an exterior bench requiring little annual maintenance. Each bench is finshed twice, once before and once after assembly. Customized finishes, including epoxy-based coatings for public areas and high density traffic, are also available.

Replacement bench slats; fully machine, bored, and finished for existing benches may be ordered regardless of the original seating manufacturer.

Lumber species chosen for bench seating are traditionally used for other products where the test of time and environment have proven them to be enduring.

Fabrication

Each bench is custom fabricated TO SPECIFICATION as required by the job. OPTIONS include size, materials and configuration which all may be adapted to architectural specifications with adherence to the patent pending structural design and assembly methodology, keeping the seating surface free of hardware.

Intrisic to the design is the custom made anodized aluminum bracket that serve as a bridge fixed between the seating and bench supports.

Adaquate lead time must be allowed as each piece is custom built after collaboration with the architect, designer, buyer or buyer’s specified agent.
